Share your world with one click.
I made Punch because I was sick of port forwarding just to let friends into my world. Hit Share, send them the address, and they join straight from their server list. Nothing to set up on their end.
Free either way, premium or cracked. No account, no server to rent.
How It Works
Three steps stand between singleplayer and a shared server. None of them involves your router settings.
Press Share
Open your world and press Share. Punch registers an address for you on the relay.
Send the address
You get an address like steve.c.punch.red. There is no port or IP to configure.
Friends join
They paste it into multiplayer and spawn right next to you.
Why Punch
LAN opening only works on your own network. Punch keeps the same one-click feeling and makes it work from anywhere.
No port forwarding
Your world travels through the Punch relay, so closed NAT and dorm Wi-Fi stop mattering.
Your name is your address
Premium names are verified, so steve.c.punch.red always belongs to the real Steve.
You decide who joins
Keep the world premium-only or open it to cracked players from the Players section.
Barely any lag
The relay just passes raw traffic through, it doesn't add real delay.
So why not something else?
You're already comparing, and that's fair. Here's how the usual options actually feel once you're the one setting them up.
Port forwarding
Works great, right up until your router wants an admin password from 2019 or your ISP hides you behind CGNAT and none of it was ever going to work.
Hamachi & Radmin VPN
Genuinely does the job. Also means walking three friends through installing a VPN client and joining your network by hand, every single time you play.
e4mc
The closest thing to Punch out there, same relay idea. You just get a random address instead of your own name, and nothing to customize once people are in.
playit.gg
Built for a dedicated server running around the clock. Pointing that at a singleplayer world you're closing in an hour is a lot of tunnel for one afternoon.
Renting a server
The most reliable option on this list, and the only one with a monthly bill for a world you were probably deleting after the weekend anyway.
Punch: one click, your own name as the address, and the world never leaves your PC. Still free either way.
Works with your modpack, not just vanilla
Punch is 100% compatible with modpacks, and it opens up settings a plain LAN world never gives you.
MOTD
Set the message your friends see in their server list, not the default Minecraft one.
Server icon
Give the world its own icon instead of the generic grass block.
Player count
Raise the max players past whatever a plain LAN world would allow.
Cheats
Turn commands on or off, same as you would on a dedicated server.
Default gamemode
Choose what gamemode new players spawn into.
Op commands
Grant op to friends you trust, something a plain LAN world just won't let you do.
Whitelist
Keep a per-world whitelist and manage it with a single command, so only the players you trust get in.
What the relay actually does
There is no magic and no VPN. Your world stays on your machine. The relay just introduces your friends to it.
The mod dials home
Pressing Share opens a control channel to the relay and claims your address. Premium names are verified, so they cannot be squatted.
The relay listens on 25565
Guests connect to a normal Minecraft port. The relay peeks at the handshake to see which address was typed and routes the raw stream to the right host.
Traffic passes straight through
Past the handshake nothing is parsed, so new Minecraft versions keep working without a relay update.
Questions people actually ask
If yours isn't here, email me at hi@punch.red.
Nope. Punch doesn't care who's premium and who's cracked. Everyone joins the same way, through the same address, and nobody has to prove anything to anyone.
Anything from 1.16.5 up to the current release. If your launcher can open the world, Punch can share it.
Yes. Your world lives on your machine, not on some server in a data center, so it's only reachable while your game and world are open. Close it and the address goes quiet until you Share again.
You're not forwarding any ports or exposing your IP. The relay sits in between, hands out the address, and passes the connection through, so guests only ever talk to the relay, never straight to your machine.
If it's a Fabric modpack, yes, drop Punch in and it works alongside the rest of your mods. It doesn't touch anything else you've got installed.
Nothing. No premium tier, no account, no server rental. Hit Share and you're done.
